Title: Focusing and Vision are off
Post by: Isabel on May 01, 2013, 02:24:40 PM
Why do I feel like I can't focus on anything. I have a short attention span when it comes to reading or drawing. I always liked to draw and paint. I can't do this for more than a few minutes. Watching tv or going on the internet are also hard to do. I feel like my vision doesn't work the same. Things feel like they move too fast.

Am I impaired? Is this permanet? Can I be helped?

Dear Isabel,

A fatigued mind with additional fearful worry is exhausting. This often creates a temporary lack of focus. One easily tires and becomes frustrated, adding to the habit of worry. It's actually normal in the circumstance. Once you understand this disorder and take the steps towards recovery you will find these symptoms begin to dissipate and dissolve. Your focus and attention will return as you continue with the program and symptoms abate.

The same holds true for all your senses, which is why movement is a strain to follow when watching television or on the internet. Hypersensitivity to stimuli creates this reaction. You are not impaired. This too is temporary and will settle down by using the proper steps towards recovery.

Best wishes,
